My name is Akenda and I am a mother of three. For as long as I can remember, I've always loved being in the kitchen. As there's simply nothing more rewarding than doing something you love for the ones you love.
I’m what I would call a "Mixologist” (at least that’s what my friends like to call me) lol.
Using only the freshest quality ingredients available; if I'm not cooking, I'm creating hair products, lotions, balms, etc... (^_^) Most often, I like to cook as healthy as possible by substituting agave or honey for sugar and whole wheat flour in replace of white processed flour; however still maintaining great taste and texture.
I decided to create this blog as a way to showcase some of my desserts adapted from variations of recipes, thus creating “Labor of Love Desserts and Dishes.” By doing so, I hope it gives me the exposure that I want and desire … which is to provide you with the most delicious desserts that will have you coming back for more.
